Services
Four services for groups that keep good records and need a clearer picture.
Every service starts with the numbers you already have and ends with something your group can reuse. We do not hand over one-off graphics that you cannot update next year.
Service one
Chart review
Who it is for: a board, team or committee that already uses charts and suspects they are not telling the whole story.
What happens
Send us the chart and the question it was meant to answer. We read it as a stranger would: what it shows first, what it hides, and whether the scale and labels support the claim being made. Each issue is named in plain words, with a suggested fix.
What you receive
- A written review of up to three pages, with each issue named and explained.
- A rebuilt chart as an SVG file, if you want one.
- A two-sentence caption to sit beside the chart.
Service two
Annual summary
Who it is for: groups that close a year with records spread across several places, and a membership or audience to thank.
What happens
We gather the year's records into a short summary of four to six pages. Each page answers one question, has one main chart and a caption that says what changed and what did not. The layout is built for print and for screens, and every chart stays editable.
What you receive
- A PDF for print and a PDF for screens.
- The chart files as SVG, so next year's edition starts from the same structure.
- A short note listing where each figure came from.
Service three
Reading workshop
Who it is for: boards, volunteer teams and staff who have to vote on or act on numbers they did not produce themselves.
What happens
A two-hour session, in person or on a video call. We work through three real charts from your group and rebuild one of them together. People leave able to ask what a scale is hiding and what a missing value means.
What you receive
- A one-page sheet of the questions we covered.
- The rebuilt chart, as an SVG file.
- A short list of the words your group agreed to use for each measure.
Service four
Data tidy-up
Who it is for: groups whose records live in several spreadsheets, forms and notebooks that no longer agree with one another.
What happens
We map where each figure comes from, agree the categories with you, and write down the counting rules so the next person gets the same answer. We never change your source records. We build a clean copy and keep a note of every change we made.
What you receive
- A clean copy of the table.
- A list of categories with their meanings.
- A method note that a new volunteer could follow.
Our limits
What we will not do.
- Predict results, recommend investments, or give tax, legal or medical advice. Our work describes the numbers you give us.
- Change your source records without written agreement.
- Publish your figures anywhere without your permission.
- Invent missing numbers. If a figure is absent, the chart says it is absent.
Not financial, legal, or medical advice. Where a summary will guide money decisions or go into a formal filing, have a qualified person check the final picture before anyone relies on it.
Pricing
Scope is agreed in writing, before any work starts.
We do not publish fixed prices on this site, because the size of your records and the date the picture is needed change the work. After a short conversation you receive a written scope with an agreed fee. Nothing starts until both sides have agreed it.
